Corpus Christi is blessed with a climate that rains with orange kisses from the sun, and a location that embraces the blue waves of the seas. It is a top destination of travelers who desire to step on the white fine sands of its beaches, and be kissed by the rays from the skies. The city is a gateway to the Padre Island National Seashore, the beach of the longest barrier island in the nation that possesses diverse and incredible marine life.

Within the coastal city, there is the McGee beach near the Shoreline Boulevard, within which are strips of bars, cafes, restaurants and entertainment establishments. It is located in downtown Corpus Christi, and serves as a nirvana for people who want to temporarily escape from the stressing demands of their work after a very long day. Parking permits are required in designated areas of the beach, so visitors are advised to get a permit before getting to McGee.

Another urban beach is the Corpus Christi beach, which is just across the Harbor Bridge. The city government keeps on making improvements in this beach, adding public equipment for visitors and expanding the beach space through multiple sand loading. There is no need to say that this is Corpus Christi's main paradise of relaxation. Located nearby the beach are the Texas State Aquarium and the Lexington Museum on the Bay, two of the top tourist attractions in the city.
